FREE EYE CAMP 2021 - REVIEW

Our free annual eye camp took place again this year between 4th - 7th April 2021 at the Alma Bi Hospital in Hafizabad, Pakistan. Despite the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic, our team of dedicated specialists treated over 100 patients for eye-related problems. 47 cataract operations were also carried out to restore the patients’ eyesight, with a 100% success rate.

Every year during our free eye camps, thousands of people visit the Alma Bi Hospital, many also viewing this event as an opportunity to receive free treatment for other ailments as well. Our on-site GPs always ensure everyone is tended to. During this period, a large number of patients are treated for dehydration, especially children and the elderly, and we carry out a large number of diagnostic tests, such as typhoid and hepatitis C.

Through the kindness and generosity of our donors, we have been able to continue to organise life-changing operations and provide free medical care to thousands of poor people throughout this unprecedented time.

During this holy month, you can do something amazing with your Zakat, Sadaqa or Fitr donations, knowing that every penny goes directly to the upkeep of a truly wonderful facility.

Thank you for your continuous support!

FREE EYE CAMP 2020 - REVIEW

Our free annual eye camp took place again this year between 14th - 17th March 2020 at the Alma Bi Hospital in Hafizabad, Pakistan. Despite the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic, our team of dedicated specialists treated over 900 patients for eye-related problems and carried out 135 cataract operations, with a 100% success rate.

Mrs Noran Bibi travelled many miles to attend the free annual eye camp this year, hoping to receive free medical treatment that her family could not otherwise afford. Due to the development of cataracts, Mrs Bibi’s eyesight had been deteriorating over the years, and she lost complete vision in both her eyes two years prior to her visit to our hospital. After a very successful procedure during our specialist camp, Mrs Bibi’s vision is now fully restored in both eyes.

Without your generosity, none of this amazing work would be possible. Thank you for your continuous support!
